FFA Alumni and Campbell Soup Company pair up to preserve barns

01/27/2010 |

This spring, FFA Alumni, student FFA members and Campbell Soup Company will be wielding paint brushes and hammers as they begin to renovate five notable barns around the country.

The barns, which were selected by the public through an online vote as part of Campbell’s “Help Grow Your Soup” campaign, will be renovated and preserved this spring,
beginning in March. More than 350,000 votes were cast for the ten nominated barns.
Those barns selected include Providence Grove High School in Climax, N.C.; The Bowers School Farm in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; The Just Wait and See Farm in Union Bridge, Md.; The Dull Family Farm in Thorntown, Ind.; and The Augie Fudala Farm in Bark River, Mich.

The other five barns nominated were: The Rolling Hills Century Farm in Staunton, Va.; The Farm on St. Mathias in Brainerd, Minn.; Eureka Farm in Lewis, Iowa; The Neil B. McPhail Farm in Seneca, S.C.; and the Gregory Farm in White Hall, Ill.
