Granite Mountain FFA puts member SAEs on display

03/09/2011 |

Can you imagine joining together with students from eight other schools to form your FFA chapter?

Members in the Granite Mountain FFA Chapter in Utah know all about it. This chapter boasts more than 250 members, made up of nine high schools and several junior highs across the Salt Lake Valley.

Most FFA members live in the city, so they keep their supervised agricultural experience programs (SAEs) of goats, cattle, sheep, swine and poultry at Wheeler Historical Farm and Taylorsville Heritage Farms. By maintaining their SAEs at public farms, the members learn to educate visitors about FFA and agriculture. Learn more about the chapter at www.gmffa.blogspot.com.
